What Is Involved In The Treatments
Very fine, disposable needles are inserted into specific points on the body. These points are selected based on the individuals diagnosis and treatment plan. So each treatment is unique to each person. The needles are typically inserted superficially to stimulate the flow of Qi along the meridians. In most cases, the needles are not left in place for an extended period but are inserted and removed quickly.
During treatment a herb (Artemis Vulgais Latiflora or “Moxa”) may be used. Small Moxa balls are rolled and placed gently on your skin at specific acupuncture points. By doing this it “warms” up the point and invites the needle in and assists in moving the qi or energy along the meridian being needled.
The primary goal of acupuncture treatment is to regulate the flow of qi, or vital energy, throughout the body’s meridians. By inserting needles at specific points, acupuncture aims to unblock any stagnation or imbalance in the flow of qi, restoring harmony and balance to the body. TREATMENT 1
This first treatment we will discuss the “Why” of coming for treatment, medical history and what you would like out of treatment. A simple physical exam will be completed. This exam assesses overall health and any specific areas of concern.

Subsequent Treatments
Initial Series of Treatments: Its recommended to undergo four consecutive weekly treatments following the first session. This frequency ensures that the response from the first treatment is monitored and any blocks to the flow of qi (energy) are addressed. Subsequent treatments are ideally reduced to around 60 minutes, however the duration may vary depending on the individuals response to treatment and the specific needs of the client on the day of treatment.
After this initial series of treatments, the frequency of treatments will decrease to ideally every 4-6 weeks. These sessions aim to sustain the balance and harmony achieved during the initial phase of treatment and prevent the recurrence of imbalances and therefore symptoms.
Each treatment is tailored to the clients response to previous sessions and their current condition. This ensures that the treatment remains personalised and effective in addressing the individual health concerns. Each treatment is unique to each individual.
